SITRANS FMS100 is an electromagnetic flow meter designed for accurate measurement of electrically conductive liquids in both industrial and hygienic processes. Thanks to its compact design, flexible process connections, and robust material selection, the FMS100 is suitable for applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and beverage industries.
The flow meter can be used in both standard processes and demanding applications where high requirements are placed on hygiene, chemical resistance, and measurement accuracy. Together with the SITRANS FMT020 transmitter, the FMS100 forms a flexible flow measurement solution that can be installed as either a compact or remote-mounted unit.

 

FMS100 Sensor (Flow Sensor)

SITRANS FMS100 is an electromagnetic flow meter featuring a compact wafer design for measuring electrically conductive liquids. The sensor is available in sizes from DN2 to DN100 and is designed to provide high measurement accuracy, even at low flow rates.

The meter tube is available with PFA or ceramic lining and can be equipped with Hastelloy C22 or platinum electrodes for use in aggressive, corrosive, or high-temperature media. Hygienic versions with CIP/SIP-compatible design are available for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.

SITRANS FMT020 – Next generation MAG transmitter

High-performance and intelligent flow measurement for demanding process applications

SITRANS FMT020 is a robust and intelligent transmitter designed to provide accurate and reliable flow measurement of conductive liquids in a variety of industrial processes. It is the successor to the proven MAG 5000 and MAG 6000 transmitters, combining their unique features with advanced new functions.

Advanced technology and flexible installation options

FMT020 retains the flexible installation design from its predecessors, allowing it to be mounted both compactly and remotely in the same enclosure. The modular design enables easy replacement of the transmitter, addition of communication modules, and use of the Sensorprom memory device for quick commissioning, immediate measurement, and secure data storage.

In addition to these features, the FMT020 can simultaneously measure volume flow, flow velocity, and electrical conductivity. It also offers enhanced diagnostics with empty pipe monitoring and self-testing of the unit, as well as multifunctional input and output channels for process control. User-friendliness is a key focus with a unified operating structure.

Design

The transmitter is enclosed in a durable polycarbonate housing with an IP66/67, NEMA 4X/6 rating. Together with a flow sensor, it forms a complete measurement system, providing the measured flow values via a local display, multiple signal outputs, or a fieldbus interface. The modular design concept of the FMT020 allows it to be used in either a remote connection setup or an integrated mounting configuration with SITRANS FMS500 magnetic flow sensors.

  • Integrated Mounting:
    For integrated mounting, the transmitter and sensor form a single mechanical unit.
  • Remote-Mounted Design:
    For remote mounting, the transmitter and sensor are installed in separate locations. Electrical connection between the transmitter and sensor is established via sensor cables.
